Weight loss medications
Prescription medications for weight loss can be effective tools to help qualified candidates meet their health goals. These FDA-approved medicines are offered as part of medically supervised health programs that include weight loss education, resources and support.
At Memorial Health University Physicians Surgical & Bariatric Care, we understand that obesity can be the result of complex genetic and environmental factors. Our team of providers start with a thorough health assessment as they develop a personalized medical weight loss plan to help you shed pounds safely under physician supervision.
Our comprehensive program equips you with the tools, weight loss medications and knowledge needed to improve your health and well-being.
With weight loss medicine, we can help you with sustainable weight loss, impact obesity-related health conditions and improve your overall quality of life. We're dedicated to minimizing the mental and physical burdens of chronic disease and obesity, enabling you to lead a healthier life.
Our dedicated nutrition experts work with you to create an individualized treatment plan that fits your needs and goals. During our initial assessment, we will conduct a thorough review of your overall health and establish a personalized strategy where specific goals are outlined.
Our registered dietician’s will then work with you to provide 1x1 counseling support and guidance to help you along your weight loss journey. In some cases, we may offer medication assistance to help you lose weight.
Weight loss surgery
Bariatric surgery, often known as weight loss surgery, could be an effective treatment option for you if you have been diagnosed with morbid obesity and have not had success losing weight through other means. Obesity can lead to reduced life expectancy and contribute to conditions such as Type II diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and certain types of cancer.
Bariatric surgery is a safe and effective tool to help jumpstart your weight loss and improve your overall health. Our board-certified bariatric specialists can help you decide if weight loss surgery is right for you. At your first visit, we discuss the benefits of the procedures we offer and how they can help you achieve and maintain a healthy weight.
