Services we provide
Robotic Bronchoscopy
A bronchoscopy is a procedure to examine the inside of our patient's lungs, airways and throat using a small, tube-like instrument outfitted with a tiny camera and light. A bronchoscopy can help detect and treat lung problems, including airway blockage or narrowed airways, interstitial lung disease, foreign objects and tumors or bronchial cancer. We also leverage bronchoscopies to grab precise biopsies of lung nodules using advanced robotics.
Our experienced and board-certified interventional pulmonologist offers an advanced approach to safely and effectively perform bronchoscopies for our patients. By leveraging leading-edge robotics technology, we can help our patients get right to the source of their condition, supporting improved accuracy and earlier diagnosis in one single procedure.
- Flexible — Flexible bronchoscopes are often used to take a closer look at smaller airways. A flexible bronchoscope can be used in both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures but are often used for evaluation and biopsy of lung conditions.
- Rigid — Rigid bronchoscopes involve a straight tube which are used to view the larger airways. Rigid bronchoscopes help establish and maintain airway control in a life-threatening situation, like removing foreign objects or helping control breathing.
