Cardiac surgery involves the heart, including arteries, valves and the aorta. We treat diseases of the heart including coronary artery disease, mitral valve disease and aortic valve disease. Our cardiothoracic surgeons practice at Memorial Health University Medical Center, which pioneered open-heart surgery in southeast Georgia and we continue to offer some of the most advanced surgical technology in the region. We offer traditional open-heart surgery options as well as minimally invasive procedures when possible.

Thoracic Surgery involves the organs of the chest, including the lungs, esophagus, trachea and chest wall. We treat diseases of the lungs and esophagus that include lung cancer, esophageal cancer and lung nodules. The cardiothoracic team has years of experience diagnosing and treating simple and complex lung diseases. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care using state-of-the-art technology and minimally invasive techniques. We believe in multidisciplinary care and collaborate with our colleagues in other specialties to provide the best results possible.
